Shawn LeBlanc, DVM
A native of Massachusetts, Dr. LeBlanc grew up in Waltham, and became interested in becoming a veterinarian while he was still a kid. He completed his undergraduate studies at Suffolk University, where he met his business partner and good friend, Dr. Michele Caruso. Together, they went to veterinary school and both graduated from Ross University in 1997.
After graduation, Dr. LeBlanc worked in private practice for several years in New York before moving back to Massachusetts to work in emergency medicine. He and Dr. Caruso purchased Shawsheen Animal Hospital in 2001, and since that time they have worked very hard to increase the level and quality of care that pets receive on our community. Dr. LeBlanc has a special interest in emergency medicine, surgery, and preventive wellness, and very much enjoys being part of the Merrimack Valley community.
Michele Caruso, DVM
Dr. Caruso graduated from Suffolk University in Boston, MA, in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in science and went on to study veterinary medicine at Ross University on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts. She earned her DVM in 1997 after completing her clinical rotations at Louisiana State Veterinary School in Baton Rouge. In 2001, she partnered with her friend Dr. LeBlanc to open Shawsheen Animal Hospital. Dr. Caruso is very proud of the medicine, health care team, and customer service that are provided at Shawsheen Animal Hospital.
When she’s not seeing patients, Dr. Caruso enjoys traveling, gardening, and spending time with her family.

Brittany Stamp Klinker, DVM
Dr. Stamp grew up in New Hampshire and graduated from Elon University in North Carolina with a degree in Biology in 2014. Her New England roots brought her back to Massachusetts where she attended Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. Since graduating from veterinary school, she has been working as a general practitioner in the greater Boston area and recently joined our team at Shawsheen Animal Hospital in March of 2020. Dr. Stamp loves building lasting relationships with clients and their pets and can’t wait for the opportunity to meet you!
