About Dr. Caruso
Dr. Caruso graduated from Suffolk University in Boston, MA, in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in science and went on to study veterinary medicine at Ross University on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts. She earned her DVM in 1997 after completing her clinical rotations at Louisiana State Veterinary School in Baton Rouge. In 2001, she partnered with her friend Dr. LeBlanc to open Shawsheen Animal Hospital. Dr. Caruso is very proud of the medicine, health care team, and customer service that are provided at Shawsheen Animal Hospital.
When she’s not seeing patients, Dr. Caruso enjoys traveling, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Dr. Tomlinson, DVM

About Dr. Tomlinson
Dr. Tomlinson is a recent graduate of Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University and joined Shawsheen in June of 2018. She has been an incredible addition to our team and we cannot wait to see her grow with our practice!
Dr. Mayer, DVM
Veterinarian
About Dr. Mayer
Dr. Mayer grew up in Wyoming at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. A passion for animals lead her to Colorado State University, where she graduated from Colorado State University with her undergraduate and DVM degrees in 2018 and 2022. She relocated to Massachusetts and joined the Shawsheen Animal Hospital team in 2022. When she’s not seeing patients, Dr. Mayer enjoys embroidering, hiking, music of all kinds, and photography. Her love for medicine extends from dogs and cats to small mammals, reptiles, and birds of all shapes and sizes.
