Committed to Quality Veterinary Care
Shawsheen Animal Hospital has been providing the Tewksbury community and surrounding communities with quality veterinary care since 2001. Since then, our mission was—and continues to be—to provide the latest in veterinary medicine to every pet that comes through our doors. That’s why we chose to pursue accreditation with the American Animal Hospital Association, and we’re happy to announce that we’ve been accredited since 2007!
What Is AAHA?
AAHA is the only accrediting body for companion animal hospitals in the United States and Canada. It was established over 80 years ago by veterinary leaders who wanted to help other veterinary professionals provide the best possible care to their patients. To do this, these leaders created a list of standards—referred to as Standards of Excellence—in different areas of veterinary medicine. A veterinary hospital can voluntarily have AAHA officials review its practice to determine if these standards are met. If they are, the practice is awarded with the honor of accreditation.
We have always set high standards for ourselves at Shawsheen Animal Hospital, so making the decision to pursue accreditation was an easy one. Currently, just over 15% of veterinary hospitals in the United States and Canada are accredited with AAHA, and Shawsheen Animal Hospital is pleased to be among them.
What Our AAHA Accreditation Means to You
Our accreditation demonstrates our commitment to pets, and our ability to offer advanced technology and equipment to meet their needs. It also demonstrates our commitment to providing YOU with the best possible customer service. We know that your pets are part of your family, and we will use every resource and tool at our disposal to ensure that they live a long, happy, and healthy life by your side.
