Common Pet Emergencies
It may not be evident if pets are in need of emergency care. Our pets are great at hiding when they are sick or injured, so we suggest using the list below as a guide and seek emergency care for your pet if you notice any of the following:
- Difficulty breathing
- Traumatic event (hit by a car, attacked by another animal, etc.)
- Severe bleeding
- Vomiting/diarrhea for over 24 hours
- Straining or unable to pass stool or urine
- Inability to walk

- Loss of consciousness
- Exposed to a toxin (pills, household chemicals, chocolate, etc.)
